Introduction

Notre Dame is a vibrant and eventful place, with a huge range of opportunities for our girls, in drama, music, sports, trips and expeditions, master-classes and lectures.

Almost 50% of our girls choose to take part in extra-curricular sport every week, and so we are able to offer a wide range of practices as well as the opportunities to compete at a high level and enjoy success in District and county events in netball, swimming, athletics, tennis and cross-country. We now have planning permission for our wonderful new sports facilities, allowing us to continue to offer a wide range of sports for our girls including hockey . We will be starting the build for this in the summer and it is due for completion in the autumn of 2016.

There is a wide range of music opportunities, including the annual school musical production, the school orchestra, two choirs, jazz band and concert band. Students can also audition for drama productions: the whole school Christmas production, the interhouse plays, and the lower school summer production. LAMDA and instrumental / voice lessons are available in school.

Other extra-curricular activities include the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, maths masterclasses, coding club, baking and cooking competitions, foreign language spelling bee competitions, Latin reading competitions and  Science CREST awards.

Our Wednesday afternoon activities session includes netball, creative writing, ballroom dancing, running, debating, volleyball, orienteering, fitness, swimming, programming and football.
