Notre Dame Senior School Admissions

The major intake of students to the Senior School is in Year 7. All prospective students are requested to register with the school and pay a deposit. Students who have registered will be invited to a ‘taster day’ during the Autumn term in the year before entry.

Entry to the Senior School is based on the entrance test, to ensure that within our relatively wide ability range, girls will settle happily and be comfortable with our ethos. Notre Dame provides a caring but rigorous environment in which girls are encouraged to achieve their potential. Entrance examinations are held in January each year. All candidates sit papers in English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning and all candidates are also given an interview.

The Entrance Examination targets levels 3 - 5 of the National Curriculum.

Academic Scholarships and Special Awards

Academic Scholarships are offered as a result of performance in the Entrance Examination on the first day.

Should you consider your daughter is a suitable candidate for a Special Award i.e. Sport or Music then a seprarate letter detailing your daughter's achievments/awards/medals/music grading must be received by the Senior School following registration and before the Entrance Assessment date of Wednesday 7th January 2009.

Girls will be invited for music auditions or sport trials when evidence of achievements, certificates, medals must be shown.
