Upcoming Events This year we are running a new practical initiative for our charitable giving at Christmas. We are joining with the Besom Trust, which is a charity that helps to support people rehomed with nothing, whether these be women and children from women’s refuges or escaping abusive homes, or general refugees. A reminder please for girls and boys to only bring healthy snacks into school. In addition we also ask that snacks remain small and are simply enough to provide a quick boost. A piece of fruit really does suffice! The Week @NotreDameCobham Thank you to everyone who helped us support the school children we met earlier this year in Uganda. Many children there survive on just one cup of porridge a day and they are considered the lucky ones! Squirrels, Foxes and Hedgehogs are learning the sound 'd' this week. This week, 32 Surrey Heads from IAPS Schools met in the Montaigne Theatre to discuss educational matters and to consider how schools can be more environmentally responsible. The RISE Theatre company came and spent the day with the girls, giving them the opportunity to get away from the normal timetable and to share some quality time together. On Tuesday 6th November Year 12 and 13 Geographers went to a lecture at St. Mary’s University by the former BBC weather forecaster, Peter Gibbs and entitled ‘Antarctica - The Heartbeat of the Planet’. Armistice Day on 11th November marks the end of the First World War in 1918 and on this day we honour those who have paid the ultimate price for our country.
