Upcoming Events The Week @NotreDameCobham Congratulations to our new Head Girl - Georgia M and her Deputy Head Girl - Emanuela N We are delighted to announce our Year 8 team won the university challenge at the Salters Festival of Chemistry!! Congratulations to Alice W, Aisha V, Charlotte N, Dina S and Natasha J for completing their Bronze Crest Awards on projects involving polymers and forensic science! Over the last two weeks, Years 3-6 have been using the Engineers Box from the James Dyson Foundation to learn about engineering. Year 5 have been very busy investigating Oobleck variables in the Science Lab. Last weekend 6 intrepid ND girls took to their canoes for an epic Silver Practice Expedition... Yesterday we said farewell to our wonderful Year 11 who have now embarked upon study leave prior to their GCSE Examinations which start next week!. This week we said goodbye to Y11 as they go on study leave. During a short service held in the chapel, a piece by Max Ehrmann was read out. It is called “Desiderata”. According to the Oxford English dictionary, the definition of desideratum, (plural desiderata) is Latin for “something that is needed or wanted” The Butterfly class have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly Year 1 put on a magnificent performance on Wednesday around the theme of ‘Friendship and Sharing’. Hear Eglantyne’s story, founder of Save the Children, portrayed by the award winning actress Anne Chamberlain, at Notre Dame's Montaigne Theatre, on Tuesday 28th May. Dates for the Easter 2020 Ski Trip are Friday 27th March - Thursday 2nd April 2020. Booking forms will be sent out via Firefly next Wednesday! Alumnae The Year 11 Celebration Morning is always a moving occasion but especially so when it results in the unexpected reunion of an ‘old girl’ with a much loved former teacher!
