Patsy Ferran
Alumna Patsy Ferran has been nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for her performance in ‘Camp Siegfried’ at the Old Vic last Autumn – but voting closes today so you need to be quick!
Patsy, who beat the likes of Gillian Anderson and Sophie Okonedo to an Olivier Award in 2019, is up against Lily Allen, Gemma Arterton, Sheila Atim, Emma Corrin and Saoirse Ronan this time. In ‘Camp Siegfried’, a play about a Nazi summer holiday camp, critics hailed her as
“utterly convincing as a girl half her age, a bundle of awkward tics and flinches, from which something terrifying emerges.” Those of us who were lucky enough to see her powerful performance certainly agreed.
Eilene Davidson
International theatre producer Eilene Davidson, another Notre Dame alumna, also has three shows nominated in this year’s awards – Best Musical Revival, for ‘Anything Goes’, Best Play Revival for ‘Constellations’ and Best New Play for ‘Leopoldstadt’. All won rave reviews but have stiff competition so Eilene really needs your votes!
