It's been another busy week in Forest School with scorching temperatures but our lovely trees kept us cool in the shade!
Sparkle and Glitter bubbles decided it was time to get the tools out and learn a new skill - Hapa Zome, which is the Japanese Art of Leaf dyeing. The girls used mallets to beat leaves & petals onto fabric. A brilliant afternoon of learning in the sunshine. Mrs Hutton was on hand to teach us a new campfire song ahead of our campfire next week - weather permitting! Thank you to Mrs Hutton and Mrs Petzer for all their help at Forest School! Please enjoy our photos.
Our theme on Thursday was all about framing a picture and did we have fun. We explored new areas of Forest School to find the perfect picture. Thank you Mrs Jones and Mrs Barciakova for all their help at Forest School, we hope you will come and visit us again in September.
Group 2 had time this week to map their route to Forest School using landmarks to help them on their way. They produced some wonderful detailed maps! We explored our site finding new areas and set a trap for naughty Goldilocks who has paid a visit to Forest School, imagination at its finest! Reception take their hand-washing very seriously and spent lots of time making sure their hands were spotless, using the FS sink is so much fun! Thank you to Mrs Ford and Mrs Martin for all their help at Forest School.
We created an exercise circuit and felt very proud of ourselves - we carefully climbed up the mountain, followed the path to fairyland and ran down the hill giggling back into the FS area - child led learning at its best!
Thank you to Mrs Whiting and Mrs Wajnert for all their help at Forest School.
