Bronze DofE Expedition success!
A big congratulations to the 55 Bronze DofE girls from Year 10, who successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition assessment at the weekend.
It was perfect weather for the girls to set out on Saturday across the Surrey hills. Starting in Peaslake in Guildford, they navigated in small groups through the countryside to their beautifully scenic camping grounds at Chantry Woods near Chilworth. After successfully setting up camp and cooking on stoves the girls enjoyed relaxing around the campfire with friends.
Sunday was an early start to prepare breakfast and de-camp. They were again met with glorious weather to journey to their final destination and to be picked up along Ranmore common.
The instructors from Rock the Boat were really impressed at how well they got on in their groups and how they kept up good team spirits when the hills at Newlands Corner seemed endless!
You all rose to the challenge girls, Well Done!
