Prep Sports Board June 27th

U11 Cricket League

The Y6 girls finished off their cricket season by placing third a in the ERPSSA cricket league. Notre Dame hosted this for the first time. It was wonderful to see so many girls enjoying their cricket and great to have a link with Avorians cricket club.

U8 and U9 Tennis v Freemen’s

Well done to all the Y3 and Y4 girls who played tennis against CLFS on a very sunny Monday afternoon. There was some very exciting matches. The U8 girls played singles and the U9s played doubles. As always, it was a very enjoyable afternoon of tennis.

ISGA Coaching

We were very lucky to have the opportunity to take 6 girls on the teachers coaching course, to demonstrate the skills for the new ISGA routines. The girls had a wonderful day being coached by highly qualified judges as well as being in a fully kitted out gymnasium.

We are so lucky to have heptathlon graduate from Fresno University of California, Madi Hutton back at Notre Dame to run a masterclass in javelin for Ella who is competing in the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships on Wednesday 2nd July, alongside Lydia M in the 800m and Emily L in the 100m and Hurdles events.

🎽This is the 3rd year we have had girls qualifying for the National finals. Previously we have qualified for Hurdles, High Jump and Shot put, which shows the breadth of talent amongst our ND girls.
