The Year 5s had a fun filled, jam packed, few days away in Bournemouth last week! I was extremely proud of them all and know that parents have enjoyed reading and hearing all about their adventures.
A great start on Tuesday meant we spent a fantastic day at Monkey World. The girls were very curious and interested in the different types of monkeys and the projects that have been set up to help protect these special animals.
“Did you know that monkeys use their tails to balance just like another leg!”
When we arrived at the hotel late afternoon the girls were SO excited to unpack before enjoying dinner. They all settled so well before bedtime, many enjoying the opportunity to chat, read or even play a game of ‘dobble’ together!
We spent Day 2 at Paulton’s Park where the girls loved all the thrills and spills aswell as some downtime in the beautiful gardens. After a delicious supper, Mrs Davies treated the girls to Bingo!
After a big breakfast on Day 3 we made our way down to Bournemouth sea front and split into three groups to enjoy the Oceanarium and Escape Rooms. We rendezvoused together for lunch at Pizza Express where we almost had the place to ourselves and the staff looked after us perfectly! That night the girls enjoyed a chance to spend a bit more time on their journals or relax whilst watching a short movie.
Friday we packed up and enjoyed some time in the New Forest before heading home, singing along to some great tunes on the coach!
A huge thank you to all the teaching team- Mrs Thedvall, Mrs Hutton, Mrs Davies, Mrs Ambidge and Mrs Lee for their energy, enthusiasm and kindness throughout the trip and to all the girls for being an absolute joy to take away!
