On Tuesday 13th May Year 6 arrived at school in their bright pink #JerseyGirls2025 T shirts ready for their exciting trip to Jersey.
Before they departed, Mrs Purgavie ran a brilliant cricket training sessions with the girls in readiness for their matches against Jersey Cricket Academy and St Michael’s Prep School.
We then headed off to the airport for our quick flight over to beautiful sunny Jersey.
The hotel was perfect – excited girls unpacked and got ready for supper – a huge array of choices to suit everyone’s tastes and as much as they could eat!
After supper we enjoyed some evening entertainment in our favourite nightclub venue – Dante’s.
Day 2
Cricket v Jersey Academy.
We started with a training session led by their coaches. The girls worked on batting, bowling and catching skills before heading off for lunch at the beach.
After a quick swim in the hotel pool, we went back to the cricket academy to play matches against the Jersey teams. Some great matches played and the girls learned so much from their opposition.
After a delicious supper, we continued our evening entertainment in Dante’s
Day 3
After breakfast it was time to head to St Brelade’s Bay for some Giant Stand Up Paddleboarding and Canoeing.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at Pizza Express before heading to the World War 2 Tunnels for some history
After supper it was DISCO time at Dante’s
Day 4
Our last day in Jersey was another sunny one and after packing up, we boarded the coaches to The Durrell Wildlife Centre. It is such a wonderful centre and the girls enjoyed seeing a wide variety of animals and also some shopping!
