We are privileged to be able to offer History of Art as a subject at Notre Dame School. This highly academic and challenging course offers students a wider ranging insight into the development of Western Art.
Classes are interactive and students are encouraged to discuss and debate their ideas regarding topics such as form, style and narrative. A major advantage of studying History of Art at Notre Dame School is also our proximity to the galleries and museums of central London and such visits are indeed an essential requirement for the course, along with lectures and tours. There is also an overseas trip each year, where students get to visit a major European city such as Florence and explore galleries, museums, art and architecture. Notre Dame has a strong reputation for outstanding art work and History of Art compliments the art and design course with an academic fine art background.
