Chaplain’s Corner September 26th

Chaplains' Corner - Sacraments

On Wednesday morning we welcomed Fr Stephen to celebrate Mass in the chapel, before the beginning of the school day. Any parents and members of staff who were able to and who wanted to attend were made very welcome.

The school is nourished by its sacramental life, most frequently through the celebration of Mass. At every Mass Jesus becomes truly present at the altar, as bread and wine becomes his body and his blood.

What a gift it is whenever Mass is celebrated in school. The next time will be on 17 October, when Mass will be celebrated for the Prep School, giving thanks for the harvest. Then on 5 November, at 8.00am, Mass will again be celebrated for any parents and members of staff who would like to be present. After this, on 20 November, we will celebrate the great school feast day of The Presentation of the Child Mary in the Temple, when Prep and Senior Schools will join together in the Sports Hall for Mass. Lastly this term, on 10 December, Mass will again be celebrated at 8.00am for parents and staff.
