🌾 Infant Assembly: Celebrating Harvest 🌾
This week’s Infant Assembly was a joyful celebration of Harvest! Miss Sargeant introduced the girls to a new character named Seren, who loves growing fruits and vegetables. Through Seren’s story, the girls learned that when the produce is ripe, it’s time to harvest, a special moment when we gather the food we’ve nurtured.
Miss Sargeant encouraged everyone to explore questions like:
What is harvest?
How is food harvested?
Where does our food come from?
Where do crops grow?
The girls discovered that different fruits and vegetables grow at different times of the year depending on the temperature and weather conditions; these are called seasonal foods.
To wrap up the assembly, Miss Sargeant read a delightful story titled “Seren’s Harvest”, which helped the girls understand the importance of harvest time and how it connects us to nature and the food we eat.
🎉 Don’t forget! This Friday, we’ll be celebrating Harvest Festival at school, a wonderful opportunity to reflect on gratitude, giving, and the beauty of the changing seasons.
Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week and the winner of the ‘Living Life To The Full’ Certificate (far right)
