Year 10 Scientists Dive into Photosynthesis

Year 10 Scientists Dive into Photosynthesis

🌿 This week, our Year 10 students have been getting hands on with the Pondweed practical, a classic experiment that brings the process of photosynthesis to life. Using Elodea pondweed, students investigated how light intensity affects the rate of oxygen production, a key indicator of photosynthesis in action.

With bubbling stems and careful measurements, our budding scientists explored the fascinating relationship between plants and light, reinforcing their understanding of one of biology’s most vital processes. It has been fantastic to see their curiosity and teamwork in action as they carried out this practical with precision and enthusiasm.

Well done Year 10, keep growing your scientific minds! 🌱🔬
