Year 3 Trip to Butser Ancient Farm

Year 3 enjoyed a stunning start to their Romans topic with a fantastic trip to Butser Ancient Farm. The girls were immersed in Roman life for the day, trying their hand at jewellery making, wall building, spinning wool, and working with clay. A particular highlight (and source of much amusement!) was discovering that the Romans used cow poo to make cement!

It was a wonderfully hands-on experience that brought history to life and set the scene perfectly for our learning this term.
