Part of the involvement in the School Community is to take part in whole school assemblies, Masses and school events. Many of these events are led by Sixth Formers and the Sixth Form Chaplaincy Team.
Another part of the community service that Sixth Formers take part in is the weekly visit to Whiteley Village. Here, girls spend time talking to the elderly residents, something that is of huge benefit to both the residents and the girls. By going weekly, the girls get to know the residents well and it is evident that the residents really enjoy and look forward to the visits. Sometimes, the girls perform music or drama to the residents, especially at Christmas when carols are sung together.
Other community service includes supporting lower school students in their studies; the Science Prefects run one-to-one mentoring and help out at TLC. The A level History students run a history club for Year 7. Many of the Sixth Formers help out with sporting events, either through supporting training in lower school clubs in a coaching capacity or helping out with the Prep School sport clubs. There are a wide variety of opportunities to support the school community through Music, Creative Arts and Sport.
