This week, Year 3 took their maths outdoors for a hands-on lesson all about fractions of amounts!
Using natural materials like sticks, stones, and leaves, the girls worked in teams to solve fraction challenges, hunting for halves, thirds, and quarters hidden around our school grounds.
Through exciting activities like ‘Fraction Fitness’ and our very own ‘Fraction Treasure Hunt’, the girls explored key maths concepts while enjoying fresh air, movement, and teamwork.
It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm, problem-solving skills, and growing confidence with fractions.
