All the girls from Reception to Year 6 had a fantastic time taking part in the exciting games and challenges of our ND Number Day!
Throughout break time, the girls engaged in a range of fun activities that put their mathematical skills and thinking to the test. Each game was designed to highlight key mathematical concepts, including:
- Estimating – Guess how many objects are in the jar
- Position & Direction – Target Throw
- Addition and Subtraction – What’s My Number? (using dice)
- Subitising – Dominoes Game
- Probability – Match the Card Suits
- Coordinates – Pick a Square and Win a Bear
A huge thank you goes to our incredible Maths Captain and Maths Ambassadors, who worked tirelessly to plan, resource, and organise the event. Their dedication and teamwork ensured the games ran smoothly—and most importantly—was lots of fun for everyone.
Well done to all the girls who took part, enthusiastically applying their maths skills and knowledge to real-life challenges and games!
A big shout out to Mrs Sloggett, Mrs Hutton and Mrs Kewley for being on hand to support the girls in their endeavours.
The results and prizes will be announced during our final year assembly. Good luck everyone!
