Summer Bake Off: A Delicious Showdown! 🍰☀️

Our Summer Bake Off brought out the competitive spirit (and baking brilliance!) of our A-Level student, teacher, and food technician. Each was challenged to create a stunning lemon and blueberry cake layered with lemon cream frosting, lemon curd, blueberry compote, and a Biscoff crumble. The cakes were as beautiful as they were delicious – but who would you crown star baker?

Year 8 Signature Dish Challenge

Future Chefs at Work! 👩‍🍳🍽️

Year 8 students stepped into the shoes of professional chefs as they designed and created their own signature dish fit for a café menu. From flavour pairing to presentation, each student showcased creativity, skill, and a real passion for food. The results were as delicious as they were impressive – a fantastic way to build confidence in the kitchen and explore the world of food innovation!

Year 9 Bread Art

Where Baking Meets Creativity! 🍞🎨

Our talented Year 9 students rose to the challenge (pun intended!) in a Bread Art project that combined food preparation skills with artistic flair. Using colourful vegetables, herbs, and decorative scoring techniques, they transformed simple dough into stunning edible artwork. A fantastic way to explore creativity, develop technical skills, and celebrate the joy of food!
