Infant Good Work Assembly February 2nd

Infant Good Work Assembly

🌾 Infant Assembly: Perseverance

Infant Assembly - Perseverance

This week in our Infant assembly, Mrs Botham introduced the theme of perseverance with the empowering message: “I believe I can do it!”
The girls explored what it truly means to keep going, even when things feel challenging.

To bring this idea to life, Mrs Botham shared the beautifully illustrated story The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires. The book follows a young girl who sets out to create something she describes as magnificent. She knows exactly how it should look and how it should work — it seems simple enough… but she soon discovers that creating something special often takes time, patience, and resilience.

As the story unfolded, the girls watched the character face frustration when things didn’t go right the first time. Instead of giving up, she took a moment, tried again, and slowly discovered that mistakes are stepping stones to success.

After reading, Mrs Botham encouraged the children to think about their own experiences with trying hard and facing setbacks. She reminded them:

“This story teaches us to be creative, to challenge ourselves, to accept that things don’t always go right on the first try, and to not give up.”

She left the girls with an inspiring message to carry back into their classrooms:

“If you can do that, you will sparkle and shine — just like the little girl!”

As the assembly came to a close, the girls were reminded that they can achieve anything they set their minds to, as long as they try their best, embrace mistakes, and keep going.

Because while nothing will ever be perfect… it can certainly be:

MAGNIFICENT!

Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week and winner of the ‘Living Life To The Full’ Certificate.
