Year 9 entry

Although Year 7 is our main entry point into our Senior School, we offer  an additional limited number of spaces into Year 9.

Our Year 9 admissions process consists of an application and assessment designed to see if candidates are able to access our creative and academically rigorous Senior School curriculum. Our friendly Admissions Team can offer key information and contact opportunities to guide you and your daughter through each stage of the process. We work hard to make our admissions process as stress-free and welcoming as possible because we appreciate that choosing a Senior School can be a daunting prospect for girls and parents alike. We endeavour to provide you with as much information and insight as we can to support your decision making.

There is also the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for Year 9 (13+). These exciting accolades offer girls the opportunity to shine in their specialist subjects. See below for more detail.

Year 9 Admissions Programme

The best way to find out about life in Year 9, is to come and visit us for a private tour. This is a perfect opportunity for us to discuss your daughter’s application, goals and ambitions individually.

We also host a series of Open Events throughout the year. Our next Open Event is Friday 13th February 2026.

Following a successful application and registration, potential Year 9 candidates will be offered an assessment (ATOM test), which includes online Maths, English, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning tests. This is also accompanied with a creative writing task and a chat with our Senior School Headmistress, Mrs King.
