🌼 Final Assembly Celebrates Easter and a Week of Achievements

Last Assembly of Term Easter 2026

🌟 A Joyous Final Assembly to Close the Term

Our final assembly of the term was, as always, a joyous occasion filled with celebration and pride as we reflected on the many wonderful achievements across the school.

This week alone, we were thrilled to recognise an exceptional range of sporting accomplishments. A Year 4 team and a Year 5 pupil proudly represented Notre Dame at the National Biathlon competition in Bath. Meanwhile, on the very same morning, another Year 4 team triumphed at the ERPSSA U9 District Cross Country race — with our U10 team also winning in their category. These are truly fantastic achievements and memorable moments for all the staff who supported Mrs Purgavie in organising the event. Thanks to their dedication, 650 pupils from local schools were able to compete and enjoy our wonderful cross-country tracks.

We also marked the end of Science Week with a vibrant array of presentations. Highlights included certificates awarded by Southampton University for some of our winning entries — a testament to the creativity and scientific curiosity shown throughout the week.

A particularly special moment in the assembly was the opportunity to offer our heartfelt thanks and warmest wishes to Mrs Cliffe as she begins her retirement. Mrs Cliffe will be greatly missed by the whole Notre Dame community. In her characteristic kindness, she has gifted the school library a wonderful selection of books featuring characters with dyslexia, ADHD, and autism — thoughtful additions that we know the girls will enjoy next term.

Wishing all our wonderful Notre Dame families a blessed and joyful Easter. 🌸✨
