Wonderful Wise Owls Shine in Forest School

The Wonderful Wise Owls groups showed fantastic teamwork during their latest Forest School session, working closely together as they explored and observed the natural world around them. The children were excited to discover signs of wildlife, including spotting a mole hole and listening carefully to the chorus of birds overhead.

As their confidence grows, the groups are becoming increasingly familiar with identifying different species in the woodland environment. One of the most delightful moments of the session was seeing the bulbs they planted earlier in the year transform into vibrant, beautiful daffodils, a rewarding sign of growth and care.

A brilliant afternoon of cooperation, curiosity and hands on learning in nature.

Forest School News: Caring for Nature in Reception

Our Reception girls showed wonderful care and consideration this week during Forest School when they noticed a bee that seemed to be struggling. The girls gently placed some water nearby so the bee could drink, and before long they were delighted to see it come back to life and buzz happily among the daffodils. These are the same daffodils the girls planted last term, now in full bloom and adding bright colour to our Forest School area.

As part of their session, the girls also helped to make lemon cup bird feeders. They carefully filled the hollowed lemons with seeds and placed them on branches for the birds to discover.

It was a fantastic afternoon of kindness, teamwork and learning about the natural world. Well done team!
