🌾 Infant Assembly: A Story of New Beginnings
This week’s Infant Assembly focused on a beautiful story called The Feather by Kren York. Miss Harris began by inviting the children to imagine holding a feather on their finger:
“Is it heavy or light? Can you gently blow it away?”
She then shared the story of a little feather’s journey—a tale of trust, growth, and new beginnings. The feather drifts high and low, sometimes feeling safe, sometimes unsure, but always moving forward. Along the way, it learns:
It’s okay not to know everything
It’s okay to move slowly
It’s okay to start again
Miss Harris closed with an inspiring message:
“Just like the feather:
You don’t have to rush.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You are allowed to grow at your own pace.
A new year doesn’t mean being someone different—it means being the best you, one small step at a time.” 💛
What a wonderful reminder for the start of the year!
Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week and winner of the ‘Living Life To The Full’ Certificate.
Happy Birthday Emme and Tilly!
