Infant Good Work Assembly March 2nd

Infant Good Work Assembly

🌾 Infant Assembly: World Wildlife Day

Infant Assembly - World Wildlife Day

This week’s Infant Assembly focused on World Wildlife Day, with Mrs Hunt introducing the children to the importance of protecting our planet’s animals and plants. She explained that World Wildlife Day is celebrated each year on 3rd March, marking the date a special international law was signed to safeguard endangered species.

Mrs Hunt shared how the day helps raise awareness of animals at risk and encourages everyone, children included, to think about what they can do to help protect them. She talked about how World Wildlife Day celebrates the environment, and how animals and plants work together to survive and thrive.

The children learned that an environment is the place where people, animals, or plants live, and that an ecosystem is a community of living things within that environment. Mrs Hunt compared ecosystems to schools, places where many different members work together, rely on one another, and help each other to grow.

She reminded the children that humans are also part of these ecosystems, and that we too depend on a healthy environment. Importantly, people can make a big difference by taking action in their homes and local areas to protect wildlife.
Mrs Hunt ended the assembly by asking the children to think about the many ways they could help wildlife.

A wonderful, thought provoking assembly for all our infants!

Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week and winner of the ‘Living Life To The Full’ Certificate.
