Infant Assembly = World Mental Health Day 2025

🌟 Exploring Mental Health: Understanding What It Means to Feel Overwhelmed 🌟

This week, Miss Harris introduced an important and timely topic to the girls: this year’s theme – “Feeling Overwhelmed.”
She began by unpacking what it means to feel overwhelmed, encouraging the girls to reflect on moments when they might experience this emotion. Using the Feelings Cup, Miss Harris illustrated how our emotions can build up over time, just like water filling a cup, and how sometimes, that cup can overflow.

The girls explored questions like:

What does “overwhelmed” mean?
When might you feel overwhelmed?
What can you do when those feelings arise?

Miss Harris shared practical coping strategies that anyone can use when emotions feel too big to manage. These included simple but powerful actions like taking deep breaths, talking to someone you trust, or taking a break to reset.

💬 Key message:
Everyone feels overwhelmed sometimes, and that’s completely normal.
What matters most is knowing that there are ways to help ourselves, and that we’re never alone.
Whether it’s through self-care or reaching out for support, there is always something we can do.

Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week and the winner of the ‘Living Life To The Full’ Certificate (far left)
