Notre Dame Celebrates an Epic World Book Day Week
Notre Dame Prep School marked an unforgettable World Book Day week filled with creativity, imagination and a whole school celebration of reading culture.
The festivities began with the World Book Day 2026 Creative Competition, sparking enthusiasm across the Prep School. Throughout the week, girls enjoyed a variety of daily book themed activities, transforming classrooms and corridors into vibrant hubs of literary discovery.
The celebrations reached their peak yesterday with a fully immersive book inspired day. Staff delighted pupils by dramatically recreating The Penguin Huddle, featuring Mrs Morgan in the standout role of the Octopus. Laughter, excitement and storytelling combined to bring the magic of books vividly to life.
The week reaffirmed our belief that “Reading is Our Culture,” a message reflected in the joy and creativity seen across the community.
With the celebrations concluded, the library is now open as usual, ready to welcome eager readers once again.
