Wise Owls Woodland Adventures!

This week, our Wise Owls groups took on an exciting Forest School challenge: creating their very own water filters using only natural materials found in the woodland! 🌿💧

Armed with moss, grass, leaves, sticks, and stones, the children worked together to layer and build their filters—discovering how each material helps clean water. They were amazed to see the transformation as dirty water became clearer after passing through the filters they had created themselves!

Alongside their science exploration, the Wise Owls have been showing wonderful care for our Forest School environment. They’ve been keeping a close eye on the plants and trees, making sure everything stays well‑watered and hydrated. Their nurturing attitude is helping our woodland home continue to thrive. 🌳🌻

We’re so proud of their teamwork, curiosity, and care for nature!

Reception

Reception’s Colourful Creations at Forest School

Our Reception girls had a wonderful adventure on their way to Forest School this week! Along the path, they excitedly collected vibrant foliage, using leaves, twigs and natural treasures to inspire their imagination.

Once in the Forest School area, the children used their gathered materials to design and create their very own colourful birds. Each masterpiece was unique, showcasing their creativity, fine motor skills, and growing connection with the natural world.

What a joyful way to explore art through nature! 🌿🕊️
