Year 2 had a wonderful time at Pizza Express.
They were treated to a ‘behind the scenes’ tour where they found out how dough is made and where it is kept. They enjoyed exploring the various fridges which were organised to avoid any contamination of products such as meat away from vegetables. A highlight was when Andy, the manager, showed them the walk-in freezer and they all bundled in, huddling to keep warm! After that, they went into the kitchen to find out more about how a pizza is made and cooked and learned more about the importance of a balanced diet. Soon after, the girls enjoyed making their very own margherita pizza and had the joy of eating it in the restaurant. Needless to say, they were very sad to say goodbye.
Andy and his team were fun and engaging and the girls had a fantastic time.
