Infant Good Work Assembly November 3rd

Infant Good Work Assembly

🌾 Infant Assembly: We Will Remember Them

We Will Remember Them

This Week’s Assembly: Remembrance
This week, our assembly focused on the theme of Remembrance. Mrs Hunt explained that Remembrance means taking time to remember people or events from the past, especially those who made sacrifices for us. It is an opportunity to reflect on the courage and selflessness shown by others.
Mrs Hunt spoke about the Great War, when our country joined the conflict and many men fought bravely. Sadly, countless lives were lost—not only soldiers but also those who supported the war effort.
We also learned about important traditions linked to Remembrance, including:

  • Armistice Day and the two-minute silence observed at 11am on 11th November.
  • The Cenotaph, poppy appeal, and memorials that help us honour those who served.
  • Remembrance Sunday, which falls on the Sunday closest to 11th November. This year, it will be observed this Sunday with a two-minute silence at 11am.

These moments remind us why we remember, to honour the sacrifices made so that we can live in peace today.

Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week and the winner of the ‘Living Life To The Full’ Certificate (2nd photo from left).

Happy Birthday Delaney!
