We are delighted to share that Alex B is taking part in the Young Reporters Scheme, an exciting initiative that gives young people the chance to experience life as a journalist.
In September, she wrote an engaging article about the Leatherhead Model Flying Club, titled “Local Flying Club Soars to New Heights in National Competition.” This piece was entered into a competition where the winner would earn the opportunity to attend a press event.
Her article was selected as the winner, making her the first winner of the year! As part of her prize, she attended press night at the Richmond Theatre to watch the stage adaptation of Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badgers Drift.
The experience was truly special. She was treated as a member of the press, seated in the press section, and tasked with writing a review of the play within 72 hours. She thoroughly enjoyed the evening and described it as an incredible opportunity to step into the world of professional journalism.
