Surrey Round – ESSA Primary Schools’ Team Championships

What an exciting evening of competition at the Surrey round of the England Schools Swimming Association Primary Schools’ Team Championships! With 24 schools competing in the Open Girls category, including strong teams from GHS and St Catherine’s, the atmosphere at Guildford Spectrum was full of energy and team spirit.
Both our A and B teams swam brilliantly, showing determination, teamwork and excellent technique across all events.

We are especially proud to share that our A Team — Holly, Isla, Theia and Grace V — delivered outstanding performances:

🥇 1st place in the Freestyle Relay
🥈 2nd place in the Medley Relay

Thanks to their fantastic results, they now qualify for the South East Regionals in April. A huge congratulations to the whole squad for their hard work, sportsmanship and support for one another.

Well done, girls — we are all cheering you on for the next round! 💙🏊‍♀️

Football

Year 2 Football vs Rowan

The Year 2 girls had a fantastic afternoon of football in their fixtures against Rowan. From the first whistle to the last, the enthusiasm, smiles, and energy on display were brilliant to see.

The girls worked hard to put their skills into action—dribbling with confidence, making strong tackles, and showing excellent teamwork throughout every match. Most importantly, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience, supporting one another and celebrating every goal, pass, and piece of good play.

A wonderful afternoon of football for our Year 2s—well done, girls!

Ripley Court Yr5 Football Festival Afternoon

Our Year 5 girls thoroughly enjoyed hosting Ripley Court’s Year 3 and 4 pupils for a fun filled football festival in glorious spring sunshine.

The afternoon began with a range of skill based activities, allowing the girls to practise passing, dribbling and shooting while supporting and encouraging one another. This was followed by a series of fun games, which created a fantastic, inclusive atmosphere and helped build confidence for all involved.

The festival concluded with a small sided tournament, where the girls demonstrated excellent teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful afternoon of football, with smiles all round, and a great opportunity for the girls to make new friends and enjoy the game together.
