Notre Dame Hosts First Gymnastics Competition – A Step Towards IAPS and ISGA

On Thursday, Notre Dame proudly hosted its first ever gymnastics competition, marking an exciting milestone for our school’s sporting calendar. The event served as a valuable preparation for the upcoming IAPS and ISGA Gymnastics Competitions in November, giving our gymnasts the opportunity to perform in a competitive setting and refine their routines.

We were delighted to welcome teams from St George’s, St Catherine’s, and Rowan, all of whom brought great energy and enthusiasm to the event. Adding to the professionalism of the day, we were honoured to have guest judges from Tolworth Gymnastics, whose expertise and feedback were greatly appreciated by all participants.

The atmosphere was one of encouragement, focus, and celebration of gymnastics talent. Well done to all the competitors for their hard work and dedication!

🏑 Notre Dame U11 A–D Teams vs Downsend – Match Report 

The Notre Dame Year 6 girls showed fantastic progress and team spirit in their recent hockey fixture against Downsend, with all four teams (A–D) putting in committed performances.
Despite missing several players due to a school trip, the girls stepped up with determination and enthusiasm, applying the skills they’ve been developing in lessons. Their efforts resulted in two closely contested draws and two narrow losses, reflecting both their resilience and growing tactical awareness.

A special mention goes to Sophia and Emilia, who bravely took on the role of goalkeeper for the first time. Both showed great courage and adaptability, making key saves and supporting their teams with confidence.

The fixture was a valuable learning experience, and the girls should be proud of their teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship. Their continued improvement is clear to see, and we look forward to seeing how they progress in upcoming matches.
