This fixture was a triangular fixture between Tormead, Claremont and Notre Dame for our Senior Netball Squads.
Senior 1st Team Netball

Senior 1st Netball v Claremont
A very good start to this match with Notre Dame executing the game strategy from the start, some competitive play throughout with excellent attacking by all players led to a well deserved 15-10 victory.

Senior 1st V Tormead
Having seen Tormead beat Claremont decisively in the match before ours, we knew this would be a test for us especially in the past Tormead have been consistently strong in this age group. A close first half with Notre Dame leading by 7 – 5 in the middle of the match! Tormead came out very strong second half and managed to just take the win in the last seconds of the game 13 -12 to them!
An excellent display of good quality netball by both teams.

Senior 2nd Team

Senior 2nd v Claremont
With a number of our U16 A team playing up to represent our seniors, this was a performance of which to be proud. Competitive end to end with the team creating many opportunities to take the ball to goal. Despite the team effort, Claremont ended the match ahead taking the win 13-8.

Senior 2nd v Tormead
Having reflected on their first game, Notre Dame really stepped up and worked really hard against another competitive Tormead team. It was a close game with either side capable of taking the win. However Notre Dame through good team work and consistency took the win 7 – 5! MVP’s were again Ciara S and Julia Mc.
U16 Team

U16 A v Tormead
Our U16 B team took the opportunity to play up against the U16 A at Tormead which proved yet another very close match and finish. Great contributions were made by all players in the squad who all played over the full 4 quarters of the match. It was a great result for our U16 team to take the win against Tormead 26-21, a high scoring match from both sides.

U13A Netball Match Report

Opposition: Manor House
Result: Won 8–4
Players of the Match: Lily & Georgie
The U13A team produced a confident and controlled performance against Manor House, securing a well deserved 8–4 victory. From the first centre pass, the girls showed excellent focus, moving the ball quickly through the court and creating strong attacking opportunities. In attack, the girls moved the ball swiftly down court with sharp timing, good footwork (considering the rain!) and great positioning in space. In defense, the girls made many interceptions, marked very tightly, and reached numerous tips. They made effective decisions under pressure which helped shut down Manor House’s attacking play. The girls turned over the ball at key moments and set up quick transitions.
The team worked cohesively throughout, demonstrating improved communication, strong defensive discipline and great determination. It was a performance full of energy, teamwork, and resilience — a fantastic result.

U13B Netball Match Report

Opposition: Manor House
Result: Won 13–2
Players of the Match: Megan & Michelle
The U13B team delivered an excellent performance against Manor House, securing a dominant 13–2 victory. From the outset, the girls demonstrated strong determination, quick ball movement, and smart decision making across the court.
The attacking unit worked with great fluency. They moved well in the circle, confident shooting, and were able to create space. In defense, the girls played impressively. They marked tightly, made well timed interceptions, and remained calm under pressure which helped limit Manor House’s scoring opportunities.
The girls read the game well and provided the team with several turnovers that were quickly converted into goals. Throughout the match, the team displayed excellent communication, improving connections between units and maintaining intensity from start to finish.
A fantastic effort from the whole squad — well done!
U12 A and B v St George’s
U12 A
The U12A team produced a spirited and determined performance in their fixture against St George’s, showcasing impressive teamwork, resilience, and continual improvement across all four quarters.
From the first centre pass, it was clear that both sides were very closely matched. The defensive unit worked tirelessly, with excellent marking and sharp interceptions that repeatedly disrupted St George’s attacking flow. Strong footwork and good ball handling allowed the team to regain possession at crucial moments.
In attack, the girls settled well and began to move the ball confidently through the court. Precise passing in the mid court helped create many scoring opportunities, and the shooters held their nerve under pressure, converting some well worked chances.
As the match progressed, the team grew in confidence and determination. There were some lovely passages of play down the wings, and the team’s commitment to driving forward for the ball was evident. Even when faced with sustained pressure from St George’s, the U12A side continued to fight for every loose ball and demonstrated excellent determination and sportsmanship throughout.
Although the result did not go in our favour, the performance was full of positives. The girls showed real progress in their spacing, timing, and decision making, and they should be proud of how they represented the school.

U12 B
The Under 12B girls showed fantastic spirit and teamwork in a challenging match that finished in an 11–3 loss. Despite the difficult scoreline, the girls demonstrated resilience, energy, and a positive attitude from start to finish.
The opposition began strongly, capitalising on early chances and moving the ball well. However, our girls never stopped competing. Their effort was rewarded with three excellent goals, all created through brave attacking play and sharp teamwork.
As the game progressed, the girls grew in confidence, began to link passes more effectively, and created several promising chances. Even when the opposition continued to apply pressure, our players battled hard and showed real character.
A huge congratulations to Eva, who earned Player of the Match for her outstanding performance. She showed brilliant work rate throughout, made intelligent runs, and contributed confidently both in attack and defence. Her determination and positivity stood out from the first whistle.
