U13 Gymnastics Team at ISGA Championships

This weekend, our talented gymnasts from the U10, U11, and U13 girls’ teams proudly represented our school at the prestigious ISGA Gymnastics Nationals. It was an exciting and inspiring event, showcasing the dedication, skill, and sportsmanship of our athletes.

For the U13 girls, this marked their first-ever appearance at the Nationals, and they rose to the occasion with confidence and determination. Their commitment to learning new routines and adapting to the competitive environment was truly commendable.

Across all age groups, the girls performed brilliantly, demonstrating precision, grace, and strength in their routines. A particular highlight of the competition was the vault, where our teams achieved their highest scores. The effort put into perfecting their vaulting technique clearly paid off, and it was a joy to see their hard work reflected in the results.

The U13 team finished 6th over-all, with Isabella placing 10th as the highest ND individual placing out of 49 girls.

Each gymnast should feel incredibly proud of their performance. Their teamwork, resilience, and enthusiasm were evident throughout the event, and they represented the school with distinction.

Congratulations to all the girls – your achievements at the ISGA Nationals are a testament to your dedication and passion for gymnastics!

Hockey

1st XI Hockey v Tormead

1st XI Hockey v Tormead

The senior team produced a remarkable performance in their fixture against Tormead, showcasing just how far they have come this season. Earlier in the year, the squad suffered a heavy 10–2 defeat away from home, but this time they stepped onto the pitch with confidence, cohesion, and a real determination to show their progress.

Right from the first whistle, the girls moved the ball with purpose and connected brilliantly as a unit. Their improved structure and communication were clear to see, and the pressure they applied paid off quickly.

Emily H delivered a standout performance, securing a superb hat-trick through a combination of sharp finishing and clever movement in the circle. Sophia B added another well-worked goal after some excellent build-up play, and Charlotte M completed the scoring with a composed strike to make it 5–0.

At the other end, the defensive line was outstanding—disciplined, organised, and resilient—ensuring Tormead were kept out throughout the match. The clean sheet was a well-deserved reward for their collective efforts.

This 5–0 victory not only highlights the team’s technical and tactical development but also reflects their growing belief and togetherness. An excellent performance and a testament to how hard the girls have worked since the start of the season.

Surrey Competition – U12 Hockey Match Report

Venue: Epsom College

The U12s delivered a strong and determined performance throughout the Surrey Competition at Epsom College, showing real teamwork, resilience, and quality across all four matches.

Caterham – 1–0 Win
The team started confidently, controlling possession and creating early chances. Their pressure paid off with a well-taken goal that secured a solid opening win.

Gordon’s – 2–0 Win
Building on their momentum, the squad produced an excellent all-round display. Strong defending and quick transitions led to two deserved goals, giving the team maximum points from the first two fixtures.

Freemen’s – 1–1 Draw
This was a more tightly contested match. After going ahead, the team continued to push for a second, but Freemen’s found an equaliser late on. Despite chances to reclaim the lead, the game finished level.

SWPS – 0–0 Draw
The final match was by far the most intense. Knowing a 1–0 win would send them into the final, the team pushed hard from the first whistle. They created several promising opportunities and defended superbly when needed. However, despite sustained pressure, the breakthrough goal never came. The goalless draw meant they narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

Overall Finish: 3rd Place
Although just short of reaching the final, the team can be proud of their performances—unbeaten across all matches, with strong teamwork, discipline, and plenty of attacking intent on show. A great effort from the whole squad and plenty to build on for future competitions.

U15s Tormead Tournament

U15 Hockey Team at the Tormead Tournament

The U15s put in a determined performance at the Tormead 6S, showing great teamwork and resilience throughout a busy afternoon of hockey.

Group Stage
The team opened with a tight contest against a strong KES side. Despite creating several chances, they were edged out 2–0. However, the girls responded brilliantly in their second group match, producing a disciplined and energetic display to secure a well-earned 1–0 victory over Tormead B. This result was enough to see them progress to the Cup semi-final.

Cup Semi-Final
In the semi-final, the U15s faced the hosts, Tormead A. A slow start proved costly as Tormead capitalised early, and although our girls grew into the game and battled hard, they were unable to overturn the deficit, eventually falling 3–1.

3rd/4th Playoff
The final fixture of the day saw a rematch with KES. This time the match was even closer, with the team showing real determination and improved link-up play. Despite pushing for an equaliser late on, they were narrowly defeated 2–1 and finished the tournament in 4th place.

Overall
A day of strong performances, valuable learning, and plenty of promise for the season ahead. The team should be proud of their effort and attitude throughout.
