U14A Tormead Hockey Tournament

The U14A Team delivered a brilliant performance at the Tormead Hockey Tournament on Thursday, showcasing skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the day.
From the first whistle, the team played with confidence and flair, progressing through the group stages with strong wins and solid defensive displays. Their attacking play was sharp and creative, and their ability to transition quickly from defence to attack kept opponents on the back foot.
In the semi-finals, the team faced a tough challenge and battled hard in a tightly contested match. Despite their best efforts and some excellent play, the game ended in a draw, leading to a dramatic penalty flick shootout. It was a tense moment, and although the team narrowly missed out on a place in the final, they showed great composure and sportsmanship under pressure.
The team should be incredibly proud of their performance and the way they represented Notre Dame. Their run to the semi-finals was a testament to their hard work and team spirit. Well done girls.
Friday U12s v St Ts

In an afternoon of the first glimpse of winter with storm Amy our U12s battled the win and rain in matches both at home and away to St Teresa’s. The As and Bs at home had two great wins. The As winning 8-3 and Claudia P getting player of the match, while the Bs were equally successful with a 3-1 win. The Cs and Ds had a close battle but both narrowly missing out but some great development for many of the girls who are still getting to grips with learning the rules and trying out new positions.
Monday U15s v Lancing College
U15 A Team

The As had a road trip down to the coast, shame it was only Mrs Tomlinson excited to see the sea! The girls had an extremely competitive game with our new opposition but unfortunately lost to a late goal, final score 1-0 with Poppy H and Lexi H getting player of the match yet again!
See the A Team in action
U15 B Team

The Bs hosted Lancing and again great to get such a competitive match up with a new school for us to play. They were 4-2 victorious and player of the match was Olivia N and Emily S.
U13 B Team Tournament

Tuesday saw us host the U13B team Notre Dame tournament where we hosted Priors Field, Gordons, Rosebery and SWPS. A really competitive tournament saw Notre Dame, Rosebery and SWPS all drawing for third place, Gordons coming second and a strong, undefeated performance from Priors Field meant they came away winners from the morning.
ND 1st Team v Downsend
After a really strong performance last week against St George’s the girls were really excited for this fixture. The girls were also really excited to have new coach, Scotland and GB goal keeper Jess Buchanan on the sidelines helping the girls out. They started strong, creating chances but equally so did Downsend but eventually Freya was able to break the deadlock. Emily H added a second before the half time. At half term the girls spoke around how they wanted to use the space better, particularly when the circle got very busy. And the second half they did this really well, Emily adding her second with an amazing baseline backhand. Downsend fought back to score a goal but then ND kicked on with a second goal of the season for Tallulah and Emily completing her hat-trick.
Final score was 5-1 to ND. MVPs were Emily H and Freya S.
Thursday U16 Tier 3 Surreys.
We hosted the U16 Tier 3 Surrey first round which saw the girls play against Downsend. A number of the girls familiar faces from the day before for Downsend but a fresh team for ND. The girls put up a great performance, really working on their marking skills and a very strong Downsend were just too much for us and were victorious to go through to the regional round.
