The Trashion Show! – Fabulous Finish Year 5!

Y5 Trashion Show

This week, Year 5 have been showcasing their incredible creations at our eagerly-anticipated Trashion Show!

We are celebrating the end of our Humanities ‘Caring for our World’ topic, which has a cross-curricular link with English and our David Attenborough narration scripts.

As part of our topic, we have been looking at ways that we can re-use items that would normally be thrown away: what better way to use then than to have a Trashion Show!

The girls spent two weeks designing and creating their fashion items, which ranged from full-on ball gowns to hats, jewellery, handbags, shoes, scarves, shawls and many more!

It was wonderful to see the collaboration across the year group – sharing recyclable items such as bubble wrap, old scraps of material, cardboard, newspaper, card and lots more. The girls teamed up to help each other create their masterpieces, stapling, safety pinning and sellotaping their way to becoming ultimate Trashionistas, working that red carpet runway with panache and flair!

Thank you so much to Mrs Morgan, Mrs Thedvall, Mrs Davies and Mrs Sloggett for your support over the past couple of weeks, and also to the parents for helping the girls collect and bring in their items to work with. It has truly been a Notre Dame Collaboration!

Please enjoy photos and videos on Firefly.
