Year 12 Psychology Students Shine at Psychology in Action Conference

Our Year 12 Psychology students enjoyed an inspiring and thought provoking day at the Psychology in Action Conference held at the Emmanuel Centre in London.
The event began with Katie Daubney, who explored strategies for staying focused in today’s fast paced, visually cluttered world. Next, Patrick Fagan brought behavioural science to life with fascinating insights into influence tactics, plus tips on how to use them responsibly (even to persuade parents!).

Angelica Ronald followed with a clear and engaging explanation of the genetic and environmental factors behind ADHD and autism. Students then benefited from practical exam success strategies shared by Rosie Hussein, before forensic psychologist Dee Anand offered eye opening perspectives from his work with some of the UK’s most dangerous offenders.

The day concluded on an inspiring note with Kimberley Wilson, who highlighted how everyday habits such as exercise, omega 3 intake, and lifestyle choices can help build a healthier brain and boost long term cognitive reserves.

It was an unforgettable experience that deepened students’ understanding of psychology and its real world applications.
