We have learned with very great sadness of the death of Fr John Garry.
A missionary priest of the St Patrick’s Society, Fr John dedicated his life to being the face of Christ to others, preaching and living out the Gospel in Kenya and Sudan, and then for many years while based in Molesey, for the students, staff and community of Notre Dame.
A Memorial Mass to remember his life and ministry will take place at St Barnabas Catholic Church, East Molesey, on Friday 5 December 2025 at 7pm.
Fr Stephen Kimani will be the main celebrant, and Fr Joseph Mc Cullough will give the homily. All are warmly invited and refreshments will be served afterwards in the parish hall.
We are so blessed to have been able to call Fr John our friend. He will be mourned by many within our school community, both current and former students, members of staff and families.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him, your good and faithful servant. May he rest in peace and be numbered amongst the saints in heaven. Amen.
