SingSPACE choir braved the winter weather for their sparkling performance on the Main Stage at One Cobham’s Onederland festival on Cobham High Street on Saturday afternoon for a festive feast of traditional and modern carols.
The throng of parents, grandparents, friends and siblings bore the brunt of the rain as we sang from the covered stage and we are so grateful to all those families who wielded their umbrellas in support of our singers. Those who attended were treated to a sneak preview of some of the programme for our Carol Service on 11 December, with classics such as ‘O Come, O Come, Emmanuel’ and the Ukranian ‘Bell Carol’ alongside modern Christian hits: ‘He Shall Reign Forevermore’ by Chris Tomlinson and ‘Immanuel’ by Michael Card, all rounded off with a few tasty ‘Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire’, and our hearts were warmed if not our toes!
Parents and girls enjoyed hot chocolate and a meander around the Christmas stalls.
