This half term, Year 1 have been diving into their exciting topic, Animals are Amazing, and last weekโs Forest School session brought the theme to life beautifully.
The girls enjoyed listening to the muchโloved story The Gruffalo, which sparked thoughtful discussions about woodland animals and the habitats they call home. Inspired by the story, the children explored the forest to collect natural materials, using sticks, leaves, moss and twigs to create their own habitats for a snake, a mouse, an owl and a fox.
With great care and attention to detail, the girls designed some wonderful miniature woodland homes, demonstrating creativity, teamwork and a growing understanding of how animals live and survive in the wild.
A fantastic outdoor learning experience for Year 1!
