As part of their Great Britain topic this term, some of our Year 3 girls chose to extend their learning by researching and creating their own models of famous British castles.
The girls worked incredibly hard to design and build detailed models, thinking carefully about key features such as towers, battlements, moats and drawbridges. They were excited to share which castle they had chosen and confidently explained many interesting facts about its history, location and purpose. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and pride as they presented their work to others.
The girls especially enjoyed locating their castles on a map of Great Britain, helping them to further develop their geographical understanding and see where these historic landmarks are situated across the country.
This project has been a fantastic opportunity for the children to combine history, geography, research and creativity.
Well done, Year 3! We are very proud of your hard work and the care you put into your wonderful castle models.
