🌼 Infant Assembly – Spring, Easter and New Beginnings
In this week’s Infant Assembly, Miss Harris introduced a thoughtful theme: Spring, Easter, and how we are all growing. She invited the children to reflect on this idea by sharing the journey of something very small, a tiny seed, inspired by the beautifully illustrated story by Eric Carle.
After reading the story, Miss Harris reminded the children of an important message:
“And then… the flower makes new seeds. A new beginning starts all over again.”
The assembly then explored what happens in Spring, a season full of new life and new beginnings. Miss Harris explained that, at Easter, Christians remember a very special story about Jesus:
Jesus was kind and helped people.
Something very sad happened — Jesus died, and his friends were very upset.
But then something amazing happened… On Easter Sunday, they discovered that Jesus was alive again.
Easter, she reminded the children, symbolises:
Hope
New life
Love
Just like the tiny seed in the story, the children were encouraged to recognise how they themselves are growing:
You are growing.
You are learning.
You are changing every day.
As the term comes to an end, Miss Harris invited everyone to think about:
Something new they learned
Something kind they did
Something they are proud of
She concluded by reminding them:
You have all grown — just like the tiny seed.
Congratulations to this week’s Stars of the Week.
Happy Birthday Dhriti and Sofia!
