Year 1 Outdoor Learning – Colourful Flower Hunt

Year 1 Outdoor Learning June 12

Year 1 had a wonderful time on their Forest School adventure this week, taking part in a colourful flower hunt!

The girls explored the natural environment and discovered a variety of beautiful wildflowers, including daisies, dandelions, foxglove, bramble and delicate forget-me-nots.

Using their keen observation skills, the girls carefully identified each flower and then enjoyed sketching them. They talked about what they could see, discussing the number of petals each flower had and noticing the different shapes and sizes. It was fantastic to see their curiosity grow as they asked questions and shared their ideas.
