Year 8 Girls Showcase Creativity with Chocolate Innovation Challenge

Y8 Chocolate Challenge

This week, our Year 8 girls demonstrated outstanding creativity, confidence and teamwork as they designed and developed their own unique chocolate products.

From the initial concept through to packaging, branding, marketing and promotion, each group embraced the opportunity to think innovatively and work collaboratively. In true enterprise style, the girls then delivered persuasive final presentations to a panel of judges, confidently explaining why their chocolate deserved to be crowned the winner.

The range of ideas was both imaginative and thoughtful. Creations included chocolates tailored for football fans, comforting treats for break-ups, special Valentine’s gifts, and even products designed to support wellbeing during periods. Each concept reflected not only creativity, but also an understanding of audience and purpose.
After careful consideration, the winning product was “On Fire S’mores Round the Campsite,” which impressed the judges with its originality, strong branding and engaging presentation.

This activity highlights one of the many benefits of an all girls’ school environment, where girls feel empowered to express ideas freely, take creative risks and develop confidence in presenting and leadership. The supportive setting enables every girl to contribute, be heard and thrive—both individually and as part of a team.

It was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all, celebrating the energy, innovation and potential of our Year 8 girls.
