Bravo Year 6!
On Wednesday and Thursday, Year 6 performed their final Prep School production, ‘The Secrets of Summer Castle’, on the stage of the Montaigne Theatre.
The script was written for them by Mr Lawson Lean, with songs and dances selected and taught by Mrs Shaw and Mrs Cesar. The girls gave an incredible performance, and, while they didn’t need any help in creating the summer weather, their acting, singing and dancing certainly encapsulated all the fun and excitement of a summertime adventure.
The talented cast really brought home the message that our understanding of the past can help us to make a better future, and that the role of young girls in history and in the future is indispensable.
Audiences were thrilled by the work of the Year 6 performers – and even had the opportunity to sing-along and help resolve the secrets of Summer Castle themselves!
