Deciding the first / next step in your child’s educational journey is an exciting and important time. We are delighted that you are considering Notre Dame as part of your search.
The best way to discover if our School is right for your child, is to come and visit our unique and vibrant environment. We host a number of open events, discovery days, taster experiences and, of course, private tours to accommodate your availability. Each of these provide a valuable opportunity to meet our students, Heads, teachers and staff (including Ted, our wellbeing dog).
Whether you are enquiring about our Early Years, Infants, Prep, Senior or Sixth Form (ND6), our friendly Admissions Team are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Senior School Open Evening:
Thursday 12th June 2025, 4:30pm – 6:30pm
We warmly invite you to our Senior School Open Evening & Art Exhibition: An excellent opportunity to discover all that Notre Dame School has to offer.
During your visit, you will hear from our Senior Headmistress – Anna King , gain insight into our inspiring curriculum and exceptional pastoral care, and a guided tour of our beautiful School. Join our Alumnae Manager, Mrs Roberts, to reveal where our girls head off to following Notre Dame and how they support our existing pupils to flourish. Tours led by our Senior School girls, will give you the opportunity to explore our key facilities, including our Theatre and state-of-the-art STEM Innovation Space, where creativity and innovation thrive. Later, experience an exclusive viewing of our Senior School Art Exhibition, where you will be able enjoy GCSE and A Level art masterpieces created by our talented pupils.
The evening will conclude with refreshments, providing the opportunity to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team, ask questions and learn more about how we nurture every pupil’s potential.

How To Apply
You can start your ND Admissions journey by applying via our online admissions portal. This will keep you up to date with admissions events and support you through the different stages of the admissions process. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly Admissions Team on admissions@notredame.co.uk. We are here to guide you and will also support you through the process.


Entry Points
Reception Entry
Our Reception class is a single form entry which benefits from remaining within our Early Years Learning Centre. There is no formal assessment for Reception but students are invited to visit our Wise Owls Nursery class with their parent.
Year 3 Entry
Year 3 is one of our usual entry points and we often increase to two form entry to accommodate the new intake.
Year 7 (11+) Entry
The Notre Dame 11+ process ensures a seamless and stress-free experience with our ‘7/26 Program’ designed for families interested in a place in our Senior School for entry in September 2026. Our ‘7/26 Program’ offers key information and invites to events which guide you and your daughter through each stage of the process.

Year 7 Admissions
Year 9 (13+ Deferred Entry)
Candidates who wish to take up a place in Year 9 (13+) will sit at the 11+ entry point and defer their place. We do not hold Common Entrance Exams in Year 8.
Sixth Form
Candidates interested in joining our Sixth Form are encouraged to read our prospectus outlining all that is on offer in ‘ND6’, from our academic philosophy and the detail of individual courses, to co-curricular and extra-curricular provision and pastoral support. It also has details of general entry requirements and each subject page includes details of subject requirements. Our Sixth Form page has further information about entry to the Sixth Form.
Sixth Form
Scholarships
At Notre Dame, we offer a range of scholarships at 11+ (Year 7), 13+ (Year 9) and 16+ (Sixth Form).
