Feast of St Jeanne de Lestonnac
We were blessed to come together as a whole school community for a beautiful and prayerful celebration of the Feast of St Jeanne de Lestonnac, foundress of the Company of Mary Our Lady. This feast is universally celebrated each year on 15 May. In order that we could celebrate Mass with both the Prep School and Senior School combined, we anticipated the feast and joyfully brought our celebration forward to take place before the beginning of public examinations.
Our special Feast Day Mass was lifted in song by our combined Staff, Senior and Prep School choirs, whose voices filled the space with reverence, joy and thanksgiving. We were delighted to have Fr Daryl celebrate Mass with us, joined by the Sisters and Governors of the school, making this a truly meaningful moment of unity and faith.
Mass was followed by a delicious BBQ picnic enjoyed in our beautiful grounds in glorious sunshine. The girls gathered in their Houses, with Big Sisters paired alongside their Little Sisters, creating a wonderful atmosphere of care, friendship and community. Following lunch, the girls enjoyed special time playing together and making memories, truly celebrating the joy of this special day.
For some of our Sixth Form students, this celebration marked their final Feast Day of their school journey, with several having been part of our community since nursery. It was a joyful and reflective occasion that honoured our shared heritage and looked ahead with gratitude and hope.
