U13 A Netball Team Silver Medals at St T's Tournament

U13 A Netball Tournament at St Teresa’s

Our U13 A team delivered a fantastic performance at the St Teresa’s Netball Tournament this week. The players showed outstanding skill, determination and teamwork throughout each match.

We are delighted to congratulate the team on securing the Silver medal, narrowly missing out on Gold by just one goal! A brilliant achievement and a testament to their hard work.

U13 A-C Netball Match Report v St Teresa’s

U13A – Lost 19–8

Players of the Match: Georgie & Amaya

The U13A team played with real determination and vigour throughout their fixture. Although the final score didn’t go their way, the girls demonstrated excellent teamwork and easily matched the opposition in skill and intensity.

A particular highlight was Amy’s move to GA, where she excelled—feeding confidently into Lily and scoring some lovely goals herself. Georgie and Amaya worked tirelessly across the court, applying pressure, marking closely, and repeatedly disrupting the opposition’s rhythm. Amelie Z showed strong defense skills and continually disrupted the attacking channels. The whole team showed excellent skills and applied their knowledge to the game well, with the score not reflecting their success.

Despite the loss, there were many positives to take forward, especially the team’s resilience and ability to apply their skills under pressure.

U13B – Drew 4–4

Players of the Match: Erin & Ivy

The B team battled hard in a closely contested game, securing a well-earned 4–4 draw. The girls showed great determination, tracking their players tightly and consistently breaking down the opposition’s attacking flow. Erin and Ivy stood out for their work rate and composure, contributing to both defensive turnovers and attacking opportunities.

A solid performance with plenty to build on.

U13C – Lost 6–0

U13 Netball v St T's

Players of the Match: Ava & Olive

The C team put in an admirable effort despite a challenging match. Their marking was disciplined, and they worked hard to interrupt the opposition’s rhythm whenever possible. Ava and Olive were key figures on court, showing grit and commitment in both defence and attack. While the result didn’t reflect their effort, the team’s determination was clear throughout.

U14 A-C v Claremont

U14 A

Another very close and competitive match between Notre Dame and Claremont netball teams! The match went quarter by quarter with Claremont edging ahead slightly at half time 12-16 to them. By 3 quarter time with some very close play and great defensive work by all the Notre Dame team, the score was 18-19! Final quarter and Claremont were just able to get ahead and stay in front eventually taking the game 21 – 25.

MVP’s Isabella H and Lexi H

U14 B

Some hard work by Notre Dame with through court defence by all 7 players meant that at the end of the first quarter Claremont were slightly ahead 1 – 3. The second quarter was won by Claremont to take their lead at half time to 8 – 15 but a fantastic third quarter by our players resulted in a 4 – 5 period of play making it 8 – 15 leading into the last 10 minutes of play. Final score was a win to Claremont but some great play for Notre Dame.

MVP’s Heidi G and Ava T

U14 C

A real concerted effort by the team to stay as competitive as possible against a strong Claremont and whilst the win was not ours on the day there were some excellent passages of play. A good team effort with everyone getting court time.

Mila - Best Bowler at National Cricket Championship in Barranquilla (Colombian Caribbean Coast)

We’re pleased to share that while Mila was overseas in Colombia for her exchange program, she also joined the national women’s cricket team as the youngest player.

On Feb 21, there was a National Cricket Championship in Barranquilla (Colombian Caribbean Coast), and she played for the host team, which won! In addition, she was selected as the “Best Bowler”, and as you can see in the picture above, she was very excited about it.

This is historical, as this is the first time Colombia has had a women’s team (although the men’s team has been competing for more than a decade). Therefore, as we celebrated Women’s Day, the family wanted to share this and to thank the school for the incredible commitment to nurturing a culture of possibility and leadership in the girls.

Happy Women’s Day to all of you!
