Match Report: U12 & U13 Football vs SWPS – Wednesday Fixture

Both the U12 and U13 squads put in strong performances on Wednesday as they faced SWPS, showing clear development, determination, and excellent team spirit across both matches.

U12 Match: Draw 1–1

The U12s played with real confidence and cohesion throughout their match, earning a well-deserved 1–1 draw. From the first whistle, they worked hard off the ball, linking up neatly in midfield and pressing with purpose. Their goal came from a well-worked move that showcased the teamwork they have been developing in training.
Defensively, the U12s showed strong organisation, with players stepping up bravely to win tackles and track runners. Although SWPS managed to find an equaliser, the boys responded brilliantly, maintaining composure and pushing forward in search of a late winner. A fantastic effort from every player, reflecting their growing maturity and understanding of the game.

U13 Match: Lost 0–1

The U13s produced one of their best performances of the season despite a narrow 0–1 loss. Compared to their previous fixture, the improvement was remarkable. Their teamwork, communication, and decision-making were much sharper, and they consistently created chances through intelligent build-up play.
Defensively they were disciplined and resilient, limiting SWPS to very few opportunities. The single goal conceded came against the run of play, but the team showed real character afterward, battling hard to get back into the game. While the result didn’t fall in their favour, the performance was full of positives and demonstrates how far the group has come.

Overall

Both squads should be proud of their efforts. The quality of football, the teamwork on display, and the individual skills shown by players from both age groups were excellent. Their progress is clear to see, and these performances provide strong foundations to build on for the rest of the season.

Well done to all involved!
